Rockdale Junior Rugby relies on fundraising events throughout the year to provide training equipment, apparel and up keep of the club to provide a safe and fun environment for boys and girls to play Rugby. If you are keen to help out in anyway please contact a member of the committee.
  1. Eastern Suburbs Grade Trials....
    27 February 2016
    On down at the grounds a full day of Colts and Grade trial games. Canteen will be open providing hot food and cold drinks. So head on down and watch the up and coming rugby players of the future.
  2. Junior Gold Cup games...
    29 February 2016
    The Junior Gold Cup is a national long term talent development and competition program aimed at Under 15 and 17's to develop talented players, providing a pathway to the NRC and Super Rugby. Sydney West take on Victoria, in Round 4 of the National competition.
  3. Southern Districts Grade Trial games.....
    5 & 12 March 2016
    This week it is Southern Districts turn. Colts and Grade teams hit it out in trial games before the start of the Shute Shield competition 2016. Canteen will be open serving BBQ, hot food and cold drinks, also being served up will be Rockdale Rugby's special menu of BBQ chicken rolls! On 12 March the ARU will be running a Try Rugby session for all those new young players who want to have a go! So come on down for a some skills and drills and who knows there might be a special visitor too!
  4. Taki Toa!!

    The annual Taki Toa competition will be hosted again this year by Rockdale Rugby. Taki Toa was establised in 1983 for New Zealanders playing rugby in Sydney, the Taki Toa shield stands at 1 meter tall and was carved to represent the new migration of Maoris and the coming together or Maoris and Australians. A number of clubs from around Australia participate in the day long games, there are also stores selling traditional Maori foods such as the "Hangi' as well as clothing. Its not just for the boys, netball is also a tradition of the Tako Toa and this year its back! So bring the family down for a fun filled day of rugby, netball and food!
